Daniel Gerold is an experienced expert in ad tech and data platforms and works as Director Data Operations at Ad Alliance. In this role, he is responsible for data-driven processes, platform operations, and the technical integration of advertising and data solutions within one of Germany’s largest cross-media sales networks. Previously, he held senior positions in Digital Ad Technology at Gruner + Jahr / G+J Electronic Media Sales, where he helped build the technological infrastructure and operational management of digital advertising systems.

His areas of expertise include data management, programmatic advertising, ad tech architectures, retail media and data operations. In addition, he is actively involved across the industry, including serving on the Advertising Advisory Board of the European netID Foundation, with a focus on privacy-compliant and future-oriented advertising technologies.
